SERMON NO 10: MAJOR RELIGIONS OF THE WORLD

1. Christianity: Current Major Concentration: North and South America, Europe, Africa, Australia. Beliefs: Belief in one God, Jesus Christ as the son of God and savior, and the Bible as the holy text. Demography: About 2.3 billion followers, making it the largest religion in the world.

2. Islam: Current Major Concentration: Middle East, North Africa, Southeast Asia. Beliefs: Belief in one God (Allah) and Muhammad as his prophet, and the Quran as the holy text. Demography: About 1.9 billion followers, making it the second-largest religion in the world.

3. Hinduism: Current Major Concentration: India, Nepal, Mauritius. Beliefs: Belief in multiple gods and goddesses, karma, and reincarnation. Demography: About 1.2 billion followers, making it the third-largest religion in the world.

4. Buddhism: Current Major Concentration: East and Southeast Asia. Beliefs: Belief in the Four Noble Truths, the Eightfold Path, and the concept of Nirvana. Demography: About 535 million followers worldwide.
