What can a woman do if the husband is not working and the woman has been financing the family for a long time?
It must be stressed according to 2Thessalonians 3:10 and 1Timothy 5:8 that a Christian husband must be industrious and work in order to feed his family and be responsible in the society.
However, there must have been a fundamental problem if a man has not been working for a long time, and his wife has been financing the family. Such questions as the following need to be answered:
i. Is it that the man couldn’t find employment?
ii. Is it that the man is lazy and not willing to work?
iii. Is it that the man has a health challenge preventing working?
iiii. Is it that the man is under-employed?
v. Is it that the man is looking down on some works as degrading?
