Description
This is not a book on secular politics. It does not delve into the science of government structures, political parties, electioneering, campaigns, or casting of votes. Rather, it is a book coming up as a result of many years of burden and concern on dirty politicking amongst Church leaders on the one hand and how to play clean politics using the Word of God as basis on the other hand; hence, the title: Church Politics – The way out.
No doubt, the Bible has a number of records on instances of people who played dirty politics; and at the same time, there are records of people who played and showed examples of clean politics. As a matter of fact almost every passage of the Bible has something in relation to politics. Yet, in our days, and to further compound the problems, nobody is ready to open up to or publicly discuss or admit the high level politicking that is going on in the Church. The most you can hear is when someone is gossiping, murmuring, soliloquizing, or complaining of some unsavory experiences emanating from dirty politics of the leaders. It is therefore, up to the leaders of the Church to wake up to playing clean politics.
This call cannot be over emphasized especially these days, when according to Matt. 24:11-12, the Bible says,
“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”
It does not take the blind any stress to know that there are iniquities ‘in high places’ of the Church. There are so many infiltrations here and there. The ‘old land marks’ seemed to have been removed. The top hierarchy of the Church is now mostly dominated by people referred to as ‘the mixed multitudes.’ Ministers of God are now more of business-minds than of spiritual matters. The goddesses of mammon and political power have taken over the ‘most holy place’ in the Church.
As a result of our present-day dirty Church politics, many would-be fire-brand ministers had called it quit. A few had opted out of their former Church denomination and had to found their own, not necessarily because it was the counsel of God but because they could no longer stand the
