- Sanctification is not moral reformation of character or turning over a new leaf or making of new year resolutions, Rom 6:13
- Sanctification is not cultural holiness. Cultural holiness is to abide by cultural rules of do’s and do not’s. Mark 7:2-8
- Sanctification is not the Pharisaic forms of holiness. Pharisaic forms of holiness
- a) Is a mere show of outward holiness without inward cleansing.
- b) Is like washing the outside of the cup without rinsing the inside.
- c) Is the outward show of good works but corruption in inward parts
- d) Is showing forth of one’s good works without reliance on the sacrifice of Jesus Mt 23:27
