Sanctification is not the same as salvation or new birth.
At the point of salvation, a believer is like an infant but at sanctification level, the believer grows into adulthood, 1Co 13:11
Salvation guarantees ‘seeing’ the Kingdom of God but sanctification guarantees ‘residency’ in the Kingdom of God, Mt 18:3
At the point of being born again, a believer becomes aware of all forms of besetting sins but at the sanctification point the believer becomes dead to all forms of besetting sins. Gal 2:20
Salvation brings the life of God into a believer. Sanctification makes a believer to live the life of God ‘more abundantly’. John 10:10
Walking in the spirit may be difficult at salvation but at sanctification, it becomes easy, Rom 8:1-22
Salvation makes the sun of holiness rise in the life of a believer. Sanctification makes it shine brighter and brighter, 2 Cor 3:18
Salvation and sanctification are inseparable. They are like the two sides of the same coin.
Salvation is the first work of grace while Sanctification is the second work of grace in the life of a believer. John 3:3-5
Salvation is the believer’s foundation in Christ. Sanctification is the building Matt 7:24-27
Salvation makes a believer deep-rooted in Christ while Sanctification makes him grow taller, 2Pet 1:4-8
