A7.4 – SIMILARITIES BETWEEN JUSTIFICATION AND SANCTIFICATION

 

  1. Justification brings the peace of God to the believer while sanctification brings the peace with God to the believer. Rom 5:1
  2. In justification the righteousness of Christ is imputed on the believer but sanctification produces the righteousness of Christ in the believer’s life 1 Cor 1:30
  3. Justification sets a believer free from the guilt and condemnation of sin but sanctification uproots the power of indwelling sin, Rom 6:17-18
