A8.6 – THE USE OF THE NAME OF THE TRINITY IN WATER BAPTISM

1. Water baptism must be carried out in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. No additional names of an angel or any creature must be added, Rev 22:18-19; Mat 28:19

2. A believer should submit to water baptism ordinance that is administered by a Pastor, or any other recognized and authorized official of his local Church, Mat 28:16-20

3. Any believer that is not water baptized is disobedient to the commandment of God and therefore will be damned, Mark 16:16

Consider the consequences of disobedience:

1Sam 15:22 “And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams”

Consider the Rewards of obedience:

Isa 1:19-20 “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it”
